10-4, you got the Cadillac. I just bought a little Champion 3100 to replace my Champion 2000, which was a little under powered for an 8000 BTU AC in the Texas heat.
I’m interested to see how long your Honda will run the AC on a tank of gas.OLDSKOOLERnWV, SAR, Logan76 and 5 others Thank this. -
I did not know anyone made an electric one.
Still think someone smarter than me could build something that rolls to the side and tucks out of the way, under the deck or something.
Like a giant hopper bottom tarp, without the bows.Feedman, 1951 ford, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 8 others Thank this. -
Loaded and tarped and ready to roll. Too bad the electronic nanny is keeping me from doing so.
Granted, my issue comes from the hours of service, and not the device used to enforce them (I had about 20 minutes left on my 14 hour day clock) but NONETHELESS.
Anyways, I've only got 500 miles to put on tomorrow, shower first thing in the morning in Lake Station, then the I94 through Michigan. Cross the Ambassador bridge, hit the 401 and run straight to the J. Might stop at the Walmart in Paw Paw for more food, but we'll see.
I need a Timmie's coffee.

Speaking of random thoughts...
Realized today that I'd rather drive on some roads in the winter when there's snow/ice/cold going on instead of spring/summer time. Not a lot of traffic and all that goes with it. Saw so much "dumb" on a scenic two lane highway today it was something special. Normally like my Tuesday run, but not today. By the time I got done I wanted a stiff drink....
1951 ford, Crusader66 and Oxbow Thank this. -
Trying a Coleman Mach 8 plus cub 8000 btu this time. Hoping for quieter running and gentler cycling on the generator. We will see how it goes. I think 11000 btu would be perfect but hard to find.
In got a deal here in Gillette, an rev place brought this one in but the customer didn’t end up buying it.
No heat strip, I just run a cord from Genny to my shore power and use a ceramic heater. It works really well down to the teens and as we all know my fat AZ don’t go where it is colder than that.cke, Hurricane69, stwik and 8 others Thank this. -
Got her a little thirsty today. Filled her up at the yard down here...
We in Laredo. Grabbed some food so I’m all set for the night.
So now not only do we have new trucks with all these #### all electronic gizmos and cattle prods... we have our senior drivers going around pushing company policy on everyone. Oh, #### off man.OLDSKOOLERnWV, SAR, sawmill and 6 others Thank this. -
Well last minute changes.... thought I was going to Titusville, PA tomorrow but nope.
Load in the morning and head to Lima, Ohio.SAR, Hurricane69, 1951 ford and 5 others Thank this.
