That' a good plan, I wish you luck and well being sticking to it. About 17 years ago I had a similar plan. Tried to get 2 of my cousins to run team with me. We had to all live in my house (keep bills down). I had found a dedictted run from mass to la, up to San Fran, back to mass. Plan was 2 of us to make run, when we got back to ma. 1 of us get out and the other 1jump in. So each would work 2 weeks on then 1 week off at home. After 5 years we would have had enough saved to each buy their own NEW truck cash. Keep going like we were, or buy a 2nd truck and hire a married team to put in. Sadly couldn't get anyone to go along with me. Buy when I told a friend about it. He sent his wife and brother to driving school. They did it, flash forward. They now have 3 paid for house's rented out. Making them almost 90k a year. Also have 4 trucks each with a team in it. They don' run the road anymore. Just run their business. The brother has a busy handiman business he runs on the side.

I don't think the OP is a recruiter. I think he's just young, overly ambitious, and like many truck drivers has a good story to tell.
Future post had him debating per diem, getting an over length ticket in California, possibly buying a truck and leasing on to Landstar with the $100,000 he saved already.
Ahhh to be youngDark_Majesty_06, motocross25, Vic Firth and 1 other person Thank this. -
If you like weekly calls from someone at a desk that has never drove a truck telling you how to drive and a payroll dept that can’t get your check right 3x in a row have at it. We team drove there for 2.5 yrs got our experience and moved on to 75 mph trucks no north east no cameras a kw with a studio sleeper and respect at 51 cpm and getting 5500 mile per week avg us press is a training company nothing more. If you stay more than 2 yrs your losing out BIGTIME.
