Depends on weight and route, but avg 5.5.
I run 68 to 70 mph -
I'm another one in the process of trying to get on with JCT. Right now I have a tentative start date of Feb. 16.
I've been off the road for about a year and a half driving a 240 ton haul truck in a copper mine. Copper prices took a dump, so everyone at my mine (Chino; New Mexico) has been laid off. Oh well, didn't really like that job anyway.
I was considering coming back as a company driver, but ultimately decided that I didn't want to do that anymore.
I'm glad to have found this forum, and this thread. I was already almost pretty sure I was going to try JCT anyway, and the posts here have done nothing but solidify my position.
I look forward to more posts from everyone and will also try to keep everyone updated on my progress.Last edited: Jan 9, 2009

Welcome to the post demingrickjames, If you look through this post you should get plenty of insight on JCT Trucking. a few of us are in the process of going to orientation very soon. LMB who checks in on the post often already works for the company and will often help with any questions you ask him. I myself will be starting orientation on Jan/26. Another guy, (LandShark) who also visits this post quite often will be starting on Jan/19. We both plan to post updates on our orientation adventure during those times so stick around, lots of info will be getting posted.

What happened with TA -
I done a lot of thinking and rethinking. I was scheduled to start with transam the 14th, but after talking with a couple of drivers on the road I decided against it. It seems like jct not only has the best l/p plan, better equipnment, but also just a better place to be.

Feb is when you can get in. Right now they have me on a suck load. Well for a team anyway. I will probably get a swap out Monday. Running 2600 miles in 5 days with 4 drops. this is a solo load. my wife and I will both get a 34 reset on this run. Back to the jacuzzi
