85k miles is not a far cry from anbramd new truck in my opinion..it's not even broke in yet. If the payments are significantly cheaper, I'd go that route.

Not to be an but with those questions why not just get a 10 k truck. Worrying about weekly pay as an OO is the first step down the road to.failure.

Get the new truck With a new truck you can always buy it at the end of the lease if it holds up well. With a used truck....maybe you'll be paying lots of money for repair and maintenance and maybe you won't...…..

whichever way you choose, you should look for the highest revenue loads with the least miles to drive them.

if you go new, biggest expenses before YOU get paid are weekly truck payment(includes plates. permits, maint acct , ins etc) fuel, then uncle sams cut (set aside for quarterly payments). and I'd say a little extra for in case funding(time off etc), then living expenses while out.THEN you get yours. any other way increases failure risk.

lease used? roughly the same weekly payment(bigger maint account contribution) plus all the above. AND increased breakdown potential.

DO NOT think like a company driver believing more miles equals more pay. it doesnt , more miles equals higher fuel costs, increased maintenance costs, tires wear faster and so on.

mantra should be highest revenue for the least miles.....

How are you already approved yet have so many unanswered questions?
I'm not trying to be a tool but these are questioned best answered before the process is started.
The difference between payments at SFI is null and void simply because they structure weekly payments to roughly be equal used you pay more MMA, new you pay more payment. But they take roughly the same per week out of settlement.

Ohhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well scratch my initial thought. If you got a good chunk of change saved up then it's not a bad idea. Some people will say go brand new and get the warranty and others will say get the used one and have lower payments. It seems to be a wash. If you get the older trucks you get low payments but down the line there's repairs. The new trucks have high payments, and you're not out of the clear for repairs....one sensor goes bad and you could have a situation in which the tow truck has to come

Anyone with schnieder finance? Whats the differwnce betweek new and a slightly used under 200k? 3 year lease big payments but you own it then? What is the balloon payment for a used vs new? Will schnieder finance the balloon payment or outside source? Anyone actually go this far to own the truck? My goal is to do ic for a year or two then transfer to landstar or traveloko. Mercer wont hire me unforuntatly or i may transfer sooner since we can. I was hired by achnieder for this talked to arbs today will talk to finance manager next week no reason they wont hire me i have very little bills and a down payment
