I hope they find that driver and nail his a- - to the wall , I hope he looses his license even to drive a car for life , it’s hard enough driving with the crazies out there we don’t need truck drivers pulling that to each other now

There's definitely more truck drivers out here today with "short fuses". I don't know if it's a higher percentage today than say 10 years ago but it sure feels like it.

Would be easy to make the argument that the HOS rules and eLogs has at least some to do with it. But then again, if I had to drive in Chicagoland every day, I'd go postal at some point. Not enough money available to get me to drive there daily.

Rocks, bzinger, Lab work and 2 others Thank this.

There are a lot of good, considerate and professional drivers that operate in Chicagoland on a daily basis. There is no excuse for this knid of #### in Chicago or anywhere else. I hope it makes the news when they catch this guy.

There are FAR WORSE places than Chicagoland to drive thru around(Nashville,Atlanta, parts of I-35 going thru Ft.Worth,Austin and San Antonio,I-77 near Charlotte,NYC,LA-shall I go on?). Chicagoland is a CAKEWALK compare to some of these other areas!!

I understand there are worse places but I would not call it a good place to have to drive a truck and traverse back and forth and all over, from 6 to 6. But I will try and avoid saying what I really want to about a large percentage of the drivers that do a lot of that local work but suffice it to say they grew up driving where there were few rules or people who cared how they drove.

Well I was born and raised there and compared to some other parts of the country in that part of Illinois if you act a fool on the roads they WILL go through the trouble of hunting you down and making sure you face the consequences! Especially on the tollways. 25-30 some odd years ago, you hardly saw any state troopers rolling around, unless it was something serious. Now they’re just about EVERYWHERE.

I usually ran low and bypassed via McLean running through the woods where possible. Springfield also came in handly now and then. But when I don't have any choice I run it at night.

That one driver is probably going to be losing his freedom, broken by dozen or more suits and enforcement in addition to his company etc. The relatively minor fines for being far left two lanes would be nothing compared to what's coming down on them.

THIS may be the one incident that will become a training video nationally wide against road raging plus a mandatory purchasing of outward cameras for all trucks industry wide to essentially follow up any more stupid problems like this.

We have dealt with some road raging here in Arkansas because it takes two in the woods to carry on a problem onto the freeway. We always without exception let them go because someone or many someones are going to either get killed or hurt and it wont be us.
