So just got my truck back from mechanic for overheating. so far we have replaced t-stat , fan sensor,
coolant tank cap, coolant temp sensor, and still overheats. loosing all coolant through overflow tube.
overheats even with fan ON. dash light indicates (low oil and check engine) oil level looks good.
doesn't overheat while idle or high idle. no oil in coolant no coolant in oil. while cold took rad cap off and started ,no coolant jumping out. no bubbles in coolant. no white smoke. Its a C15 twin turbo, cat did gold package in frame 6/2015. no leaks I would greatly appreciate any feedback. can't figure this one out UGH!!

I wonder if the radiator cap itself is bad.
I had a few bad caps that themselves failed the pressure test. -
Do you hear when the eng fan turns on and at what temp does it start turning on to cool motor it may not be turning on at all and that will make truck over/heat fast?
-
Radiator plugged? Air flow. Will it hold a shop rag to the front with the fan on? Was this a gradual problem or sudden?
x1Heavy Thanks this. -
My truck has a two speed fan. So it turns constantly, sucking in all kinds of debris. Every spring I have to hose out the face of the radiator as it overheats when the weather first warmed up.

Thanks, Yes, I replaced radiator cap , Overheat started sudden, no early signs. fan only kicks in with ac on at around 120 degrees , With ac off fan does not kick in at all. Fan comes on from dash switch.
Someone did mention possible radiator clog, guess i could try that next. hoping its not a cracked head or anything major. -
its flashing fault code 61

Fan kicks on for coolant temp @ 217 F. Code 61 is high coolant temp. I am guessing plugged rad or broken water pump shaft.
-
You replaced all of that but you didn't replace the one part it could be?
Replace the radiator.
This is your problem.
While your at it, maybe also clean your condenser.
I would also fire your mechanic.
