Last night a Ludfords day cab that was shuffling vans around unlocked the gate and let me in. I switched trailers then got a signature this morning. I’m headed to Turlock to load tonight, deliver in Hyrum, Utah Monday morning.

That’s good you was able to get out of there. I figured I’d be heading up that way to the wash today once empty Monday morning.

If they send you to Chino to wash you can unhook and go to the truck stop in Ontario while they do it. That’s what I normally do. They’ll wash it and leave it outside for you.

That’s good. Do we pick up anywhere in that area?

Oxnard and Bakersfield is the only thing I can think of. I’ve picked up a tank at Chino and dead headed to a place outside of Phoenix before to load.

You ever get your 70mph back? I’m sitting in Wells, NV. Still had some snow in the trees on top of Donner Pass this morning. I was going to take my break at a casino tonight but we’re flying to Vegas Aug 24th for my birthday. Figured I better save my money lol.

I got it back for like 200 miles, then dropped to 68 and then 65 again. I didn’t idle for 3 days. Drove 200 miles at 60 after having it reset. Still lost it.

The day that I got mine reset I was empty, leaving the WH yard and dead heading to Mission. It went to 68 in Louisiana, then finally up to 71 around Houston. It was cool weather, I didn’t idle for about 3 months. I never lost the 71. Spring came around and it started getting hot. I started idling for the first time again on a night in Mission, TX. After that, I assumed I had ruined my rewards so I just started idled all the time again. It took about 3 weeks for my 71 to finally drop to 68. Then a few days for it to drop to 66.
That was in my 2015 truck, about a year ago. I’ve never messed with the rewards thing since then. Some of the guys say the reason I kept 71 for 3 weeks after I started idling was because you can build up time. I don’t know.

I think it’s different for every truck. I was in 883 and I idled everyday and it never changed. Even idled completely on a 24 hr restart. It never changed from 70. For me, it’s not so much the speed, it’s how low the rpm’s sit. Any incline, it almost has to shift before it starts to pull the hill, losing all of the momentum. Yesterday, I passed 3 trucks going probably 64.8mph. Takes forever to get around, but if I just slow a bit, that crazy buzzer will keep going off and driving me nuts. Definitely not a fan of this particular set up. It doesn’t effect the miles I’m getting, but it was definitely a easier day of driving in a 68 to 70mph truck without this collision system.

I would be frustrated at that too. Mine doesn’t have that crash sensor system. I’ve had guys tell me once you’ve been here a few years and if you’re a good hand for the company, they will remove the rewards program from your truck if you ask them to. I’ve never bothered to ask, plus I don’t get to Florida very often in order to ask. But you’re old truck may have belonged to someone like that.
