But sadly, no one at Walmart seems to care. It seems that we have enemies within causing destruction of the company.

Walmart is in the retail business. Google is in the advertising business.
    Get it?

Walmart had its day they are on the downhill side of things. . just like kmart sears and Montgomery wards ... just when it looks like the giant will take over the world the giant collapses into itself and it's been going on for 200 years

Anything Walmart tries fails miserably months later. Look at how no one is using the grocery pickup at stores. More money wasted.

The grocery pick up is literally BOOMING here. Every time the wife sends me to pick up there is another 5 to 8 vehicles there picking up. However your produce still sucks so we get that from publix... who delivers.

I just order them on the bay, newegg etc. I do not purchase hard drives from walmart period or any retail store anymore.

I rely on a stack of new old stock Vertex threes for the raid 5 which I have enough for a terabyte of capacity across 10 of these SSD's in raid 5. SO if one or more burns, I can take them off line and replace them and rebuild array off the backup spinners which are usually larger spinner drives of the Barracuda variety. Something like two tera in capacity.

Im approaching 10 years on SSD's, bought 12 total, lost one so far, rebuilt three and they are still working in the array. Computers have gone out for a vareity of reasons and I can rebuild and reimage a machine back to normal within a few hours and updated by next day.

I usually hold on to all my hard drives. I still have three raptor 150's from back in the day when they carried that enterprise black case with window on them for reliability. There were 4, now there are three, one of which shows click of future death pending.

If at all possible I always purchase enterprise black grade hard drives. Anything claiming to be eco, power saving or green etc is junk to me.

Spinner hard drives are getting cheaper by the holidays every holiday. But they will not drop below a certain price point that I look for. I understand some of the newest fly on helium gas hovering the platters at very high speed now or some similar situation inside of them. Really nice stuff. But too pricy for me.

Walmart is not Amazon. They try hard to advertise to buy online then show up at the corner of the store painted orange and pick up. No thanks, I prefer to examine my own products and get it myself, there is still a certain percentage of OSD in the shelving. I have literally all day to go get it. Im not pushed for time.

And finally, when I order hard drives or SSD's online I always fly them to Little Rock where possible overnight. The previous ones sat in trailers cooking or freezing in the SW desert up to 4 days and required about a month's rest to adapt to Arkansas climate before use.

Raid 5 is working rather well for me, but they need spinner drive back up with adequate or larger capacity. But nothing too grotesque. The larger they get the longer it takes to partition and format etc.

I got one more computer build remaining in my life time. That machine will approach 10K in costs when built and in many ways double if not approach triple the strength of my current one that is approaching 3 years 24/7. I have another computer that is approaching 11 years now with the ex and Im already looking for replacement CPU, motherboard, CPU cooler FAN (Those are easy peasy, 120 mm...) and so on. Believe it or not, hers has been way more reliable than my monsters. Especially if I overclock them. Hers is not.

I live in the boonies so my wife does quite a bit of online shopping. A few years ago she used only Amazon. She started using Walmart awhile back and believe it or not they consistently trash Amazon. Items that take Amazon 3 days to get Walmart has it my door the next day. Not a huge fan of either, but I wouldn't count them out just yet.
Walmart has the infrastructure already laid out. Just missing the Cool factor that millennials crave. I swear I think they are better.

You really are clueless you know that?

Good grief every store they put it in has recorded an increase in sales, and drivers know they keep seeing folks in the pick up area. Of course you would have to work here to know that.
