Just got a spam ad for a ups freight job. Seems like a real ups job it droned on about their appearance and uniforms policy ..,. But never mentioned pay.

Dedicated (to the customer not route) team job very near my home, out 3-5 days . So they say.....

Anyone know the deal on them.... there’s no way it pays what the buster browns get.....

Yeah but a team should be able to run twice the miles of solo so do the math.

According to one of browns drivers I sold a project jeep to a few years ago all that good money comes with daily butt chewings for averaging a tenth of a mph too fast or too slow or you took 30 seconds too long for that drop and hook etc.... he said if you got everything right for one day they'd get you for the previous day again. The money was the only thing keeping him there. A neighbor that runs for Fed Ex Freight says pretty much the same thing about them.

Not quite sure if the Union LTL side of UPSF has team runs, but Non Union Truckload and O/O's has team positions. UPS Parcel also has team runs too and they have the highest paid runs in Feeder bids.

UPSF Truckload pays crap. They're around .43 cpm I believe for solo. Team I would imagine would be double of that. Non Union...so you get no pension and you MAY be considered a Scab too. Not something you want to be during contract negotiations....

UPS Freight has team truck driving jobs nationwide

    UPS Freight Truckload is hiring!

Because contractors and non Union carriers are taking away some of they're Linehaul bids. That's why you here a lot about UPSF Linehaul drivers sitting at home while Non Union carriers are doing the work at a MUCH cheaper rate. It's a violation of Union contract and I'm sure it pisses off the Union drivers seeing Scabs do they're work. It's probably the MAIN issue that they're working on right now on they're new contract negotiations.

But what does the contract have to do with the non union employee that takes the position?

Contract really has nothing to do with Non Union Truckload. Never understood why they were never organized, but they are ACTUAL UPS employee's. They have to abide by UPS policy, wear uniforms and get their checks from UPS. The Union apparently has no interest in Truckload, even though the Clerk's are Union now and are included in the CBA contract.

The comment I made about "you MAY be looked as a Scab" is from what I read from Truckload drivers who mentioned that they were nervous around Union members because of the fact they are Non Union.

Subcontracting is the number one issue that UPSF has right now. Apparently there's a loophole in the contract that allows this to happen...and UPSF has been abusing this loophole. But the contract also states that Union Linehaul drivers have to be utilized first, before even considering subcontracting...and this is where the problem is. Union is already voting on an "authorization to strike" right now. It's not for an ACTUAL strike, but and AUTHORIZATION to strike if need be.
