DC’s are now taking down driver photo roster boards posted in every transportation office. Some are becoming very empty with photos of current drivers since every DC is seeing massive amounts of drivers under the old higher pay system leaving. Since the big announcement last October, almost 2,000 drivers hired before that month have left the company.

Now ask yourself, why would you come to work here for less money if the high wage earners are jumping ship?

I have personally seen the new generation of Wally drivers. The professionalism is all gone. It’s like night and day. First I thought maybe one or two but No, it’s most of the ones I see today. They hang out in the passing lane, they do that also on the passes when you should be on the right lane.
I see them all day long. I drive the Cajón Pass here in SoCal where they have lane restrictions and they don’t care. I know they DC centers in Apple Valley and Perris. I’m usually driving between those 2 quite I bit. This is why I know first hand.
I’m sure there hiring individuals from Mega’s.

You are very correct on those observations. This new breed will come over from Schneider and think they’ve hit the jackpot demanding respect with their 30 months of experience.

And from what I,ve seen, the stores are running off old time associates and replacing them with temps or underskilled donotcares. 5 years, WM will be just like K Mart.

First thing is I am a Schneider driver. I have been with them going on 10 years. I am fully aware this Co. and others have idiots driving for them. I see it every day. I am set up for a phone interview today. Which I am about to cancel. With all the changes at at Walmart why would I leave
making .45 pm and home every weekend. Walmart at one time was a very desirable place to drive. It’s a shame that they made it just another place to drive. Oh my
experience from mid 70’s everyone was driving cabovers.

Don’t regret your decision. They’re really trying to put our job on the same playing field as dedicated drivers in pay.

Hopefully you guys don't get booted out like Bedford.

Guessing by rate you are at Washington CH, or London KY?

Weekends are nice, unfortunately that will never happen here now

That is a nickel higher than the number I heard they pay at London, and there is zero chance of weekends off at any grocery DC. Hell that is when they are busy.
