When I had a Volvo, I ran a ground wire from a normal mount to the door mirror bolt. I had ground off the texture from the top tube of the mirror bracket the antenna mount clamped on. I was running a Connex 4300 with a 2290 toshiba into a straight 4 pill.
The 4 pill had both positive and negative 8 gauge running from the batteries up through the firewall to the overhead console. The wire was fused within 6 inches of the battery. I attached the wires to the particular battery that was frame grounded. I had less than a watt reflect on 700+Watts output, no interference with the ecm, dash, lights, and only messed with a few frequencies on the Fm stations, which you can do with a barefoot radio.
The man who built my amps told me that you can run long power wires to the battery and then ground the battery to the frame instead of grounding the amp. His daily driver has 9 alternators under the hood and he is very knowledgeable, and I trust his advice. That is how I run all my mobile amps, and I always get little to no reflect on a bird 43 with a 10watt slug.
Will someone post pics of their grounding wires/straps

Yeah. Only to get my antenna setup though. My radio was already worked on and a month ago I took it to Ray to have him look at it and he said it was doing what it was supposed to and sounded good. He doesn't do outside work though and I still had range issues. Ch5 was the closest place I knew that had an antenna analyzer. Had my coax routed the right way as well. And paid a hundred bucks.
Thought things were finally done But my radio started to squeel randomly after the service. Just on receive and usually when lots of chatter.
Frustrated with performance I removed the coax routed from to stock mount place and put it to the mirror bird perch. Coax still thru dash but no longer routed directly to stock mount. Radio died a week ago and I took it to Ray to get fixed Monday. He still has no outside help and looked up squeel and saw it can be a ground issue... As well as not getting out properly can be a ground issue. -
