    eld enforcement?

like my company using the same system , we are compliant with aobrd until Dec 2019. only units we ADD to the fleet will get eld, all replacements will get the recycled mcp200 units until next year.

10-4. Also got that message this morning. They stated it was because they pushed the mandate for AOBRD units back until December of 2019.

They were always able to hold out until 2019. So don't let them act like it's all the government's fault and they are doing you a huge favor.

They just didn't realize the impact of doing it so early. A whole lot of us spend 10 hours or more per week driving around off duty trying to get trailers unloaded or finding empties just so we're not late for the next load.

Sure they would save some money on the huge pay cut all the current drivers take by having to report unpaid driving time but then they would have to hire more drivers to make up for it. That's why they changed the bonus structure. They expect you to drive faster and go home less to keep the same amount of pay.

I, for one, would have lost four loads per week and I was planning to go part-time to work on my side Hustle.

They changed the bonus structure because guys were too dumb to understand it. That and eta to final delivery was useless as a metric. There was a small but vocal group trying to demonstrate just how useless it was. They finally did, but then had no idea what to replace it with.

That I can believe. I set ETA and NAT multiple times every day and it just changes back to whatever it feels like when I go to sleep or after I start driving.

Right now I'm starting my 8th day driving when I should be at home because Qualcomm decided I had 64 hours left on my 70 and 7 hours on 11 when I told the thing I had 10 out of 70 and 2 on my 11. So, my DBL gave me two loads that were late when I started. I never get home on time because of it.

We're supposed to get the tablets by June so maybe that will help.

I don't know why , but that stupid system will reset your Nat and Eta anytime something is changed in workflow.
Like if box removes an mt p/ u task.
Or if they add a drop # to your delivery.
Basically anytime anything gets updated on workflow it will make its own decision for your Nat and Eta and reset. Lmao drives me nuts sometimes.
