    Boiled linseed oil is all I have ever used. I buy the disposable tray and rollers. I buy the 5 gallon. Put two coats and wait till next year and do it all over. Note: I have only used it on apitong wood.

    I've done several decks with apitong, and have never put anything on them. Most places selling apitong do recommend putting on an oil stain though.

    I use used motor oil BUT not from my truck, that used diesel oil stays slick for several months. When I use oil from the car or pickup it dries up in about a week and last for a year.
