We just got our CDL licenses here in Ohio (with T N H endorsements) and currently looking for a good company (that would train) to start with as a team. What would be your recommendation ?
We also would love to get advice from current team drivers: which items are the must have on the truck, how to manage driving schedule, and tips to be successful in team driving.
Need your advice

Covenant Transport trains husband/wife teams together in the same truck.
They'll probably hire you since you have hazmat endorsement, because they require that.
-
Quest Global might cut some slack on their 3 mos. experience requirement for a team. They prefer to hire a team that knows each other.
-
Pretty much always hear Covenant sucks. Hear great things about Quest but like China says they require experience but they are worth a call. May Trucking hires new teams also.and are good to start with as well.
-
The big plus with Covenant is they train husband/wife teams together in the same truck. Trucks are set up for 3 people. Some husband/wife teams don't want to be split during training.
Don't know what Quest Global policy is.NavigatorWife, Farmerbob1 and smokey12 Thank this. -
Didn't know that, was wondering how they trained 3 at a time, interesting.
-
thanks for the info. yea, they said they would train a team altogether which is kind of neat. I guess the trainer would sleep on the passenger seat ?
389driver Thanks this. -
Probably have bunk beds; ask the recruiter about that. Most team trucks have double bunk sleepers.
-
The one and only thing you must bring with you.
A sign that says: When she’s wrong, she’s righter.PacoTaco Thanks this. -
They all 3 go on the road together? I can't imagine by the 3rd day how that would play out.
