I have a tig and the first and last time I tried to weld aluminum it wasn’t very good. I have learned since that you don’t want a nice point on your tungsten rod, but more of a nice little ball. I have yet to try it though. Far as welding steel or stainless with it. I love it.

@Logan76 this little place is great. The lady running the restaurant flipped my clothes over from the washer to the dryer for me (without me asking), then brought me that to munch on. Parking for 10-15 trucks, dirt lot, showers, laundry, old time restaurant. It's perfect, that's why I get a little sad when we lose these places. I feel your pain on the Lee Hi

Go figure. Not only do you see a bunch of plastic cookie cutter fake trucks, now bout all the restaurants are fake too.

I used to stop at Lee Hi quite a bit. That Peddlecar dinner was pretty good. Sad.

Now that I’ve got time for a proper response, lol.

Sand companies don’t run governed trucks cuz there are times when you need to get down the road. Rule number one is never let em run out of sand at the well. You’ll lose your contract and then you’ll be looking for a new line of work.

Having said that, there are plenty of knucklehead drivers working for knucklehead companies these days. There’s lots of work right now and not enough hands to do it. Some companies hiring standards aren’t the best, and that’s when you get guys pulling stunts like that fella taking the turn too fast. Good way to get folks killed.

Some people have no business behind the wheel of a fast truck.

Glad you folks made it home safe.
