Does anybody know where the cooling fan solenoide is located on 2012 VNL 630 D13?
    Thanks!

Truck overheat when climbing heavy, cooling fan does not increase speed even when temp is over 230

Is it air driven or electronic?

follow the air line and you should end up on lower driver side firewall. Kind of hard to see sometimes because it is behind an "L" bracket that has air lines and wire harness zip tied to it.

If the solenoid is bad the fan will stay running all the time. it a fail safe they use.

Thanks for the response, I will check in the morning.
I wish I knew how big or small this thing is, the pic I saw at volvo shows a black plastic valve with 2 or 3 air connectors and one electrical, I though that because the size and shape it should be attach to a bracket or frame. Or probably is along the rest of the air lines secured with zip, I will have to look really carefully
The fan on this truck works like on demand, the speed of it increase as the engine gets hotter. Now it has only one speed and is slow, not enough to cool off the engine.

Is this a 2 speed fan hub?

If so, does it slip between the 2 speeds almost like a clutch wearing out? Reason I ask, my 2 speed Horton did that on its way out. First speed is magnet driven inside the hub, 2nd is belt
