I am considering applying for open fuel hauling positions at Love's and at Pilot Flying J.
What are the pros and cons of each company, especially from those of you who have worked there?
Thanks,
RC

I used to be a General Manager for Pilot: years ago( I’ve been driving truck now for 15 years): They used to treat their drivers like Gold! Good pay; good benefits; good hometime. Don’t know much about now; tho
good luck to ya
NavigatorWife and RockinChair Thank this. -
PFJ pays by the hr Loves pays by the load.
Sirscrapntruckalot and RockinChair Thank this. -
Which is more beneficial?

Actually for the mental issues one can go through trying to work for gemini, PFJ is much better company to drive for.
But to answer your question Hourly is.Sirscrapntruckalot, Lav-25 and RockinChair Thank this. -
I would much rather be paid by the hour when hauling fuel, especially when there's waiting time at the loading rack.
@haz-matguru Mental issues working for Gemini? What's up with that?Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
Pilot for sure, Loves is ok, but micro manage. Good with either one, truck stops are easy money!
RockinChair Thanks this. -
Thanks for the heads-up about Loves. Micromanagement is something I try to avoid!NavigatorWife Thanks this.

Yea he took the words out my mouth. Every RM isn't the same but PFJ is a better fuel hauling gig than gemini. PFJ hr pay ain't the highest. But over all you will get more bonuses and less b/s than driving for loves.Dave_in_AZ, Lav-25 and RockinChair Thank this.
