    Hi everyone,

I'm looking into moving some LTL and FTL Dry-Van freight into a number of Menards DC's. My research on google reviews seems to suggest that unloading times for a lot of the DC's are quite bad to say the least.

I want to make sure I know what I'm getting myself into so I can be up front with my carrier contacts as to how much waiting time they should be expecting on these loads.

Would be the following DC locations:

    Eau Claire, WI
    Shelby, IA
    Plano, IL
    Holiday City, OH

Thanks for any advice. I'm sure I will get hate for being a broker, but I want to be up front with my carriers so that we can plan for these accordingly.

That surprises me. I know the Menards stores are probably the easiest store deliveries you can make. They don't seem to care when I show up. And as long as there is a dock open they get right on it.

Thanks for your help Antinomian. I was advised of this issue when I spoke to a dispatcher familiar with the Holiday City, OH location who mentioned he would literally not send his drivers there because they are brutal in terms of unload times. This prompted me to look into some google reviews(however helpful they may actually be).

Just want to arm myself with as much information as possible.

I delivered just today to their Sullivan, MO DC. A full load, 23 pallets of bird seed. No appt, just showed up and was unloaded and out the gate in 1.75 hours.

There is a huge difference in the store and the DC.
    Stores are usually no issue.
DC's.....well, that's another story. Most of them hate live unloads.

Thanks for the help guys. I guess I'll have to wait and see when we arrange the first load.

Interesting you say that - the Holiday City one is the location I initially heard bad things about which is what prompted my research.
