CB doesn’t work after I key up mic

    Sorry guys, I’m a newbie to the CB world. My question is: When I turned on the CB for the first time, I heard static and occasionally some voices. When I keyed up the mic to ask if anyone could hear me, the static and talking went away. Did I blow it? What happened?

    Did you just buy the cb? You need to tune it per the instruction manual or you not be talking to anyone. What model cb and what antenna you running. Would also be helpful to know what year make and model truck. Some trucks do need to have antenna grounded believe it or not
