CBs in use anymore?

Oh, so your the one that go's around saying "I ain't got no panties on!"

 

They might get more popular now that Craigslist shut down their "casual" section

 

i still have 2 mini cb's and a cobra classic 25. i use one of the mini c.b.'s

but i run at night, mostly all alone, and when there is another truck, or 2, they are on a different channel. i only get information when someone else key's up,

 

We don't call them "CBs" any more. They are "back up" radios.

 

It not as active in my area as it used to be.

 

Sensitivity of the antenna system is sort of the game. Better that system then much else falls into place.

 

I’m sitting in Amarillo listening to skip hundreds of miles away on 19. And some drivers up & down IH40 at these truckstops.

Nothing heated or entertaining, but consistent.

Some areas may have trucks, but 70-mph speed limits and English as second language may kill 19 talk. Try other channels.

 

Many of us here remember the 1970's when you could barely get a word in edgewise on CB. Sadly those days are gone but I hate traveling without a radio. When the ship hits the sand the CB comes alive, and in a lot of ways that's when it counts. Also, as many here have mentioned ad infinitum, the antenna is the most important component. Believe it
