The company probably can't touch you until you get a conviction on your record. You can drag this out by requesting continuance after continuance , you could drag it out and set it for a court trial and you'll be held to account for this about 12 months down the road. Seriously. By that time, you'll have all your experience and can jump ship to the next best opportunity. Do this. Drag it out as long as possible. It's nothing until you are actually CONVICTED, and you can make that process last as long as you like.
Scared as hell.

Even if I’m convicted... I’d like to hope that an overweight issue wouldn’t be held as serious enough to lose my job... like at least I didn’t wreck the truck or anything...NavigatorWife Thanks this.
-
Hand, if you have told the total truth and left nothing out you have NO danger of losing your job. Stop worrying about it. Just be careful next time.NavigatorWife Thanks this.

Lol I think I lied about not having a mental breakdown...because it’s suddenly all rushing back to me....wonderful....
-
It's a good opportunity to find out what kind of place you are working for.
-
Lol I already know what kind of place they are but I know they’re strict is all.... literally the best company I’ve ever worked for...
-
So, I think you did the right thing.
Better to keep it on a weight restricted road than an unrestricted ditch.
Now, repeat after me.....
"I swear I didn't see any sign....."NavigatorWife, Ultratowel and buddyd157 Thank this. -
Chances are Garmin would have warned you.
-
Well I made a mistake I was thinking of a different intersection... this one had he option to continue going straight or turn right into a restricted road.
-
The Rand McNally warned me but I couldn’t turn around idk what else I could have done... idk why the Rand McNally took me to a restricted road knowing I needed to go through it...
