I saw this thread and thought I'd update it:

Twin Eagle is now advertising in Lexington, KY, of all places (though the work is still in Jal), and their ad says the pay is now $380-420/day. Choice of free housing or a $400/month housing allowance. $1200 orientation pay, and $2500 sign-on bonus.

Cool, was looking at the thread from before and right now I'm with Detmar but I'm tired of being in truck so was looking for a place that has housing.

How's the pay there at Detmar ? How's the schedule ? Working you to death or just steady ?

On Youtube, I came across a guy with info on Twin Eagle in Jal. Here is our exchange:

    Hamza Alkurdy
Man you can try twin eagles company Jal , NM crude oil they are really good pay 350-420$ per day stable work and stay local providing housing

    Turkntrader
@HamzaAlkurdy. Do you or have you worked for Twin Eagles? Are they a good company to work for? Is their Craigslist ad for real? Any issues?

    Hamza Alkurdy
@turkntrader yes i was , the pay its true but in the end it’s depends on you , one thing I didn’t like its you will have a roommate but you are a woman so you will be good , if you didn’t work in oil field before just give yourself a month before you quit after that you will be good

You guys still at c&j? I was thinking about going to Twin Eagle but really don’t want to share a room with someone I don’t know unless they are female.

I know the Coastal Plains guys out in West TX had their own rooms but it has been over a year since I verified this so may want to look into it.

So.....I dont get it.......a complete stranger is STILL a complete stranger.....and also, the chances are far greater that it would probably be a male since it is a male dominated career....the odds of getting a female roomy are pretty slim....why hamstring yourself?

Best advice for anyone not wanting to deal with man camps or sharing a room is to buy a camper.

I get 400 a month reimbursement for my rv spot and i am less than 4 grand all in on my camper.

I am also not tied to a company for my place to live so if i quit or get fired i still have a place to go that night.

I will also add. Stay away from Xcaliber in Jal. It looks great on paper but the equipment is junk even by oilfield standards.
