he was returning the load because he was not paid for hauling many loads and he promises to bring them all back if he don't get the check in the morning.
the receiver will be pizzed at the shipper if he knows his gravel has come and gone back.

 

Why? Seems like a waste of productive time and fuel.

 

It's depends on how effective the message was. Someone could go the practical way and never see a dime from them. It would cost more in the end.

 

If you're not getting paid for say the lastwho knows how long and who knows how many loads I'm guessing it's a good way to force them to pay.
