Looks like I will be going to orientation Monday in Missouri. Haven't driven in 4 years, so will be going out with a trainer for a refresher. Looking forward to working for Danny Herman Trucking.

Welcome aboard Backster and watchman!
backster and Watchman63 Thank this. -
Hey DHT drivers,
Does the company give you a daily allotment of PC (personal conveyance) miles? My company gives 10 per day and it resets at midnight. It's very helpful for bobtailing to walmarts or other points of interest after shutting down for the day.
On a related note, how many out of route miles are tolerated if you know of a different way to get to a destination that may add a few miles?
Also, how many inches is the space between the top of the bottom mattress and the bottom of the too bunk. I've got a dorm fridge that is 33.5in tall. Just wondering if it would fit between the beds.
Also, is there a cabinet where I could fit a small mini fridge? What would the dimensions need to be for this fridge?
And lastly, is the inverter in the truck able to handle the draw from 2 refrigerators? -
DHT gives you 45 min. Don’t run out or you may be screwed if you were out oh hours.
Out of route, pm me and I’ll fill you in.
Your dorm fridge is to tall for the kenworth area below the table. I think it was 32” max. I bought the dorm style with separate freezer and tried everything to make it fit. No luck.
There is the small cabinet where a “kenworth” fridge goes. Those really don’t hold much.
The inverter runs my microwave and fridge. I’d say it would handle two fridges. -
How many watts is their inverter?
-
There's a driver on here who got one of the coleman mini fridges who says it fit in cabinet area.
What do you mean table?
I'm talking about the top bunk. In a freightliner I can sandwich the haier 3.3cu ft dorm fridge no problem on top of the bottom bunk's mattress. The top bunk rests on top of it and secures it perfectly. -
We also have a 3.3cu and it fits fine on the top bunk of our T680 -
Danny Herman sounds like a good company. They told me they wouldn't be able to get me home, so it was a no go for me.
-
Yes, what's up with that? They told me I'd have to leave the truck at the nearest terminal, which is about 100 miles from home.
-
Oh yes, but I've got a passenger, so I wouldn't put the fridge up there
