Actually i thought it was illegal in Australia however after some research i'll have to retract that statement apparently one can drive bare foot in some cases it may actually be better if one can feel the accelerator and brake pedal, with OH&S occupational Health and safely truck drivers must wear steel capped boots not in the truck it self, however to be allowed on most work sites we wouldn't be allowed out of our trucks if we had flip flops, joggers or if we were bare footed. in fact where i take my truck which is one of the regional coal mines we not only have to wear steel capped boots they must also be laced up ones not slip on ones. Must also wear high visibility clothing as well.

Saucony Jazz Low Pro... any color you want, like 48 bucks. I’ve put over 1000 miles in at least a few pairs. Don’t need to be broken in. Put them on and go. Got like 5 pairs in different colors.

Pedigreed Bulldog and RedRover Thank this. -
21 years of driving and I’ve never worn shoes in the truck. It makes it so much easier to keep the cab clean. All the stuff about barefoot being illegal are just trucker stories.
RedRover Thanks this. -
