Dave,
I feel your pain. About 6 months ago, I became the proud owner of a like-new Note 4. I took it to our local big-box store in search of a case and the electronics cashier asked if she could see the phone because she has never seen something as archaic as that.
My wife was with me, so I had to be nice but I politely declined, went home and ordered an Otter Box.
They laughed at my phone

You moderators should get a PO Box so we can send you our old outdated phonesDave_in_AZ, Maj. Jackhole and 88 Alpha Thank this.

That's not a bad idea, but then we would get a lot more stuff we don't want and a bunch of new-fangled stuff we wouldn't know how to operate.
tucker, MACK E-6, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this. -
I’m with @tucker. As an iPhone user myself, we old guys need smartphones designed for dummies.
Dave_in_AZ, tucker and 88 Alpha Thank this. -
It takes longer to look up "tldr", than if the poster just said....

That is literally quicker.buddyd157 and Maj. Jackhole Thank this. -

I love Apple, no antivirus programs needed.
And what ? Press on the app and BOOOM it opens. I can’t imagine a droid being any better than that.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
Well, my android has a headphone jack so i can use the aux cord in my truck.... thats a good point.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

I liked my old Q10, but no apps in Blackberry World. BB10 OS was awesome...downgraded to Android with the Key1.
Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
I ran a Bold 9930 for five years straight until it just died late last year. I can't tell you how many "they still make those" comments I got. It was simple to use and did everything I needed and then some. Sprint offers the KeyOne. You can also get a used Classic and hook it up to Verizon. Look around and you'll see the BB culture is still around, but it's more underground now. Best thing of all is you won't have the same phone as everyone else.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
