I don’t know how it is for large cubic inch Cummins, but my preemission Cummins ram used to get 20 mpg and my new one averages 11mpg. Kinda defeats the purpose imo. And don’t let me start and rant about all the problems I have had so far. Egr failure. Regent problems etc. my dpf is currently crack and exhaust is blowing black smoke. Next thing coming is a full delete. Go ahead and lock me up
Emissions deleted?

I want to know what a deleted but otherwise stock isx will average, I'd like to know what sort of money you're giving away to have a "clean" engine.Oldironfan Thanks this.

Wondering something similar.
Best friend called me today, his DEF system is pouring fluid. 2017 Freightliner. Think it’s got less than 200k on the clock. -
Here is what I've been told. With modern electronic engines you can take all the crap off them and still be able to run clean enough to pass Cali sniff tests. Meaning all the stuff on modern engines is obsolete.
SavageMuffin Thanks this. -
Heard the same. I heard from a reliable source that after completing it on a friends truck he got better fuel mileage. Like 1 or 2 mpg.
I’ve been in deleted trucks, they were also turned up so not good for mpg comparing. -
That's a serious improvement, now can someone who's smarter than me work out how much fuel that would save a year and how much more pollution is put in the air hauling extra fuel and the def around.

Only a couple problems with all this delete delete stuff .
Dealerships won't do any engine work on them ...most won't take them on trade and the resale is shot .
They are great trucks no doubt in my mind but there's a reason auction sites a full of them .disoba, Broke Down 69 and tucker Thank this. -
100k/yr divided by 6mpg if it went up from 5 mpg at $3.28/gal. If I did math right that’s $10,953. Not guaranteed on that though.
