almost all radios today are plug and play took my sirius mp3 cd radio out of my 2006 volvo and it plugged in and fit in the dash of my 2013 Columbia just like it was made for it. But Freightliner has some cheap speakers sound like tin cans.

Freightliner Dealer, I purchased a stock unit for my Columbia: this stock radio, has built in Sirius satellite access to 3 satellites, USB port for auxiliary music device, cd player. 7 weather bands, am/fm. (Toledo, Oh. has some in a display case.) they don't come cheap.

Just like blind driver said, use the VW adapter. I went to Best Buy and got the VW-9000 adapter harness for $16.22. It fit right into my 05 Columbia.

My Sony has been in my last two trucks. I wire it in myself. Power and ground wires are easy to find, and that leaves the speaker wires easy enough to figure out. I solder all connections and heat shrink over them.
To say they wont last is total BS, this one has @800k miles on it now!
