$1500 wk on 1099, good pay? I need money bad.

That MAG carriers out of Ga sounds pretty good. 90% take home. Was just reading the forum.

 

How often are you home?

 

some weeks every night or 2 nights out a week. sometimes I go out west and stay out a couple of weeks or in winter I run Texas and Florida . I am in Ohio so it's pretty easy to get home every night but I like hitting the road every so often

1099 can be great if you understand how it works and what to do. Get a good CPA to guide you at first.

Having worked 1099 for most of my working life, I don't think it makes sense for company drivers (not enough valid deductions), and I'd be concerned that the employer gets popped, misuse of 1099 is frowned upon. You can look at IRS form SS-8 as a guide for when 1099 is appropriate.

Again, a good CPA, usually well worth their fee and take notes. If you do it right in the right situation you will profit and sleep well.
