Well, I do know the 237’s were a 2 valve head, and they improved on that when the E-6 came out.
I pulled a steel body dump trailer for a while with a 237.Oxbow, 1951 ford, Shock Therapy and 6 others Thank this. -
That’s been me for most of the last 17 years, in between bouts of Hell raising on the CB.

Sounds sexy, doesn’t it?

My pickup truck will get there soon enough.
I didn’t appreciate being cheated out of my classic diesel sound with pilot injection.

One of my first truck driving experiences in my late teens was driving a DM Mack with a 300 and a 2 stick. The DM had the cab that set closer to the driver side than it did the passenger side.
The truck had a feed/bulk bed with an auger on it. I hauled chicken feed and hog feed to a couple local farms.
Lol...I didn't hang long with that spot cause I wanted a truck that bent in the middle. That's when I got to get in the big times with a CL700 Mack and an old beat up Timpte hopper. -
I hated those. Stupidest looking trucks around, I thought.Oxbow, 1951 ford, Shock Therapy and 6 others Thank this.

Yeah, Dam things were goofy. I asked a sales guy at the dealer why they ever built those things and he said for versatility for different beds and configurations to mount on the back.
I dunno though.Oxbow, 1951 ford, Shock Therapy and 7 others Thank this.
