Tic toc down to 53 minutes on my 14 I called them and they said if I unhook they won't load me. I can't sleep at the dock for 10 hours. Nobody with answers at my company at this hour either. I sent a message on the PC dispatch simply says ask the cosignee.

    This is seriously fd up.

I have said it before & will again. Fight them. Your story proves they need, they want the freight. If they didn't? Why did they order it? You might not be invited back, but WHY would want to go there any way? AND if you are fired by your carrier now days for refusing to unload freight, for any reason, there are a lot of tractors sittin in a companys yard somewhere with no one to hold the steering wheel. It is a drivers market, not an employers. I was lucky to spend my last 18 years with ABF a union carrier. And once in a while I had to unload. But, @ 24 bucks an hour, I had no problem with the sort & segregate. von.

I forgot. Ask yourself, what kind of insurance payments you will receive from a warehouse if you get hurt lumping freight. Out of state from your home port? You are @ the mercy of that's states work comp rules. Now you are home recovering & dealing with rejected medical bills for pick any reason. Now, do you really want to work on a dock lumping freight for scab compensation not knowing what kind of money you get while off work from a injury that ocurred 5 states away? I didn't think so.

I can't understand how you can regulate one end of the industry to comply with HOS and then let the Shippers and receivers make theyre own rules.

Seems like someone should create an aggregate reporting service where any trucker can publicly report detention times at specific shippers anonymously. It could be on DAT's website. Www.dat.com

Their 1.8 stars on Google is way too high.
4 hours in and still waiting on a door.
Looks like I’ll be sleeping in this hole.

Only 4? I spent all day at a place in Houston when my appointment was at 9am. And no, it was HEB. I actually rarely had issues at HEB.

Sadly, it happens a lot in the industry. Shippers/Receivers don't give a ####. That's just one of the reasons I quit in 2016. It will never get any better, and I got tired of being shafted by shippers/receivers.

I have a list of people I will not haul freight for. It is pinned above my head on the drivers side. HEB were the first name on that list. That was due to a diabolical experience in Houston. They actually tried to pick a fist fight with me. It was unbelievable. Some of the most obnoxious people I have ever encountered. They treat you like you are prison labor from maybe 1900.

RLB Foods in West Caldwell, NJ. What a poop hole that place is.

Philips Lighting in Mt. Top, Pa. now i don’t know if they changed, but back in the early-mid ‘00’s they would take from 8-10hrs to load a dry van. Also they had no public bathroom. Yeah i was glad when i finally got my self kicked out of there.
