Citation expired

I’d call a dofferent CA scale anonymously and see what they say... maybe call 2 different locations if the officer answering at the first one acts like a d.
Btw, I’d assume on that notice, or citation you got, it should also say, what you’d be charged with if you don’t comply?

 

Are you from that area? If so go back and explain and show him the repair. This is the reason dot/mto put people OOS for any little thing. I just had a fix it repair with a 15 day limit on it. I had it repaired but the shop didn't have the invoice done by the 15 day limit. I called the officer explained it would be there on Monday and she had no issues with that. Just ignoring it will get them upset and sooner or later it'll bite you in the ___

 

Honesty is the best policy. Immediately drive back to that original inspection site. Ask them to inspect it again. Demand it.

 

Just show up and tell them it's the first time you've been in the area since you got it. Used to do this in NYC with a must appear summons. I would call and tell them I might make it to NYC for another 6 or 8 months and they would give me an amount to pay and not show. Course I was running in out of ther 2-3 times a week but they didn't know that.

I was explained at one of the CA scales that a fix-it ticket that is not fixed goes to a court as a violation ticket, with some penalty assessed. On the other hand, if there were any judgment issued by the court, the op should have been sent some notice, I imagine.
I'd personally look at it a ticking bomb and take care of it before going to CA to avoid a potential shutdown or even arrest.

 

Arrest on a fix it ticket? Please be serious. License suspension probably but arrest I highly doubt.

 

I had one fixed ticket in CA more than 15 year's ago. When I stopped at scale in Antelope Sacramento country I had to ask a few times that officer sign it. Hi was telling me "you are fine keep trucking" finely hi did signed and sad it's newer happened before that some one ask to sign a fixed ticket.

 

You never heard of arrests for delinquent tickets, unless you have money on you?
