1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I have 3 accidents and 2 logbook violations in the last year. The accidents were all in the first few months when I was too ####y and took corners too close. I believe I am a much better driver now. Do I have any hope on finding a driving job with this economy?

I doubt you will have much luck with that record, much less the ecomony.
Too many drivers with spotless records looking for work, like me.
Try a local company or a small owner operator (2-3 trucks), but don't lie to them, explain the situation. You might get lucky, but don't hold your breath.
Three accidents in one year is going to be a big hurdle to overcome.

you might want to drive straightees and creep in the back door of the company as someone steps out. I'm assuming the company considers the fact you may have just had trouble pulling trailers and give you a shot at straights. here's a tip....go out 3 or 4 in the morning to your business district and talk with drivers or post up at a truck stop talking to the older drivers that look like need a job. (those are the guys that have all the knowledge)
