By the way, Master of Electronic Communication; where in this thread did you see any reference whatsoever as to what channel this person I was I was referring to was operating on. Are these hallucinations accompanied by auditory manifestations? And why do you have to operate on sideband to be a "real radio operator".

Yep know all about the ARRL was a membewr when you were still a nasty thought in your daddys mind and know allot about the contest as well but they are not what this individual was participating in. And they call the transmitter hunting what young man. Lets see if you can think or look this one up with your Gay Bay attitude.

Why don't you get a clue and use your brain and do a search on my log in and see what you come up with you will find i am and have been a HAM for many years and i have ran mobile and base and contacted all most every state in the union includeing Hawaii and ALASKA WHILE MOBILE. I have worked the south pole and almost every major country while mobile. Sir i dedicated #### near 10 years to mobile radio operation and had one of the first mobile digapeaters in the USA so i would say i have ben there and done that mobile at one time i had 9 to 10 radios going at once in a truck so i have done my time in the mobile radio world. Right now i am in Iraq working as a coimunications manager for all of northern Iraq for the largest contractor in the world so if you want to compare credintials and qualifications come on will be glad too any time you want so don't ever question what you don't understand.

    Dear Master of Electronic Communications:

Well, in 6 weeks, I will be 60 yrs. old, so let's say you were 20 yrs old when you joined ARRL, that makes you 80 yrs. old or thereabout.

As for, resorting to the "Gay" crap, I guess that's the last line of defense for a man with a clearly demonstrated lack of intellect. I have a beautiful wife of many years. I would still like to know on what do you base your claim that, "... know a lot about the contest as well but they are not what this individual was participating in." I was the one who personally spoke to him and I don't know what kind of contesting he was referring to; nor, do I know on what channels he was operating. So how could you? I know that he had two distinctly independent radios; a small everyday CB without an amp and the 10 meter with the 1,500W amp.

You are obviously a very bitter old man with loose-fitting dentures looking for villains behind every bush and around every corner. You can prattle on all you like; but I am no longer going to dignify this conversation by responding to your bulls**t. Get off the soapbox!!!

Ok i will tell you how i know what he was doing? If he had been a HAM and participating in contest he would have had a all band all mode radio with his 1500 watt amp and he would have been able to run it at any time because he would have been legal and well prepaired too. Now what he was participating in is what the CB world refers to as a shoot out. ANother words a bunch of them get to gether and some how all key up at once and go to talking and screaminga bout who has the biggest and the baest and some on a mile or so away will tell them who he heard and who was the loudest. That is a 11 meter shoot out. A actual contest on the amature bands is conducted in such a way that every one participating knows when in Zulu or GMT time it is going to start and when it is going to stop and what seqement of the band it is going to cover or what mode of operation it will be run on. It will usually last a day or 2 some times 3 days. at the end every participant sends his logs to the ARRL or what ever orginization that sponsored the contest and after all the contacts are verified and all the multipliers like mobile or QRP stations or such what ever they have set as multipliers are then they will anounce a winner or publish it in the magazine QST so there you have it how i know this guy was not a HAM and not doing legal contesting from what you said in your comments about he had a 10meter radio with 1500 watt amp that is the par6t t6hat gave it away he was not a true HAM or he would have had a mobile HF RIG made by a reputable manufacture like Yaseau,Kenwood, Icom. Just a little info so you want think i am all that bitter i am how ever a very bad person when it comes to people professing to be something they aren't and people that think just because some one has a 10 meter radio and a amplifier they are a ham is all to gether wrong the last person you will see with a 10 meter radio is a HAM
