One fact i have on SRT is that they do not resemble their own company website.Meaning that this is the most mismanaged from the top down company that i have ever worked for.I was there 4 weeks untill i had enough and listened to the MT promises with the failure of delivery of those promises.Needless to say,,Knowing what i know now of SRT,,Don't even think of working for those Morons.

just quit them, I can only say that they have a very high turnover rate for a reason. My orientation class had 35.(I should've saw the red flags). Everytime I got thru the terminal the orientation classes were huge! I wont try to disuade you, but in my 8 years of driving, this company was the absolute worse! I guess if you're new to truck driving you wont know any better, but if have any other experience to compare, you will soon understand what these guys are all about

I drove by thier terminal in Arkansas this past Saturday and it looked like every truck they owned was parked there rather than on the road.

 

My only involvement with Covenant Transport was back in 1996. I was working for a company called Bud Meyer Inc out of Lake City, MN. They had nice KW's and good trailers. I liked the people, the freight, the miles, and the home time. Then one day they said they were going to sell out to Covenant at a drivers meeting. Right off the bat they were going to take away our KW's and give us their old Freightliners. In addition, our pay would drop .02 mi. If we didn't like it we could take a bus ticket home. I took the bus ticket.
Sounds like SRT is going through the same thing. I applied and they have been calling me, and things are pretty slow where I live, but still I hesitate. I don't really need another one of those on my app.

 

Anything about the company on do's and dont's would be appreciated as I'm going to oreintation on 05/10/2010 Thanks for your info.

 

Before you go reread all the posts again. I found it interesting how it started out all sunshine and lollipops until Covenants name came into the picture. Then the thunderstorm began. Looks like you are going soon. Stop before you hop on that bus and think about it.

 

I thought you went to work at Marten like 3mos ago.
