My Werner recruiter said the training was on the beach in the bahamas, so even if OTR is going to suck, the training should be fun.

My oldest just turned 25. When she was 18, she moved out on her own and two years later, I started back into trucking. You guessed it, now I'm the father of two, youngest is 7 and I missed the first 6 years, getting home every week or two, for a day or so. I've been home every night since last May and not looking forward to having to go back over the road again.

Congrats on your local gig. Hang on to it with everything you got.

well all its wednesday morning...ive done the job for two days now......shall we say learnin on the fly. i trained for half a day. not complaining or nothing ...like i told the other driver. only way to learn is to dive in. its going great (knock on wood) havent been late anywhere or got lost. still working out all the paperwork stuff and directions to the customers but it will all come. (started a binder and keep all the customer addresses in it for when i got back next time ) wish i could get in here more. wud up lilone. still working out alot of kinks. how they like their fuel receipts (truck number on them) went in and got fuel (never done it) and they said go ahead and punch in your mileage.....duh i didnt write it down. (felt really stupid walking back out) but these are the kind of things that im learning the "hard" way but i think that comes with any job. like i keep tellin my boss..."i hate being the new guy" ill be glad when 1-2 months go by. gotta go. gotta delivery # 7:00 am. >--->
