Eventually... Like down hill with a tail wind??!!

This morning at 9:00 in south Salt Lake City, UT I was seeing 92 degrees on my gauge....

I went over my truck with a fine toothed comb and flashlight at 4 a.m. this morning.

I got lucky today for first day of Blitz... Port on US 40 in Heber City, UT at 6:38 a.m. I see the port as I approach, no trucks and it is open, "####"... I check my mirrors and see 2 tank trains that look more likely to be inspection worthy. Roll into port and I see 2 more tucks coming from opposite direction, then notice 3 trucks getting the works out back, roll across scales with all my lights on... And I get the green light! Watched my mirrors until I couldn't see the port any more, no One else came out ..... One down!

I-15 North bound Ogden, UT 10:00 a.m. 5 miles before port 5 or six trucks pass me, catch up to the last one at the Pre Pass scanner, we slow down as approach the Pre Pass transmitter... He hits the blinker and brakes... I go under the transmitter... I hit the blinker and the throttle!!... I got the Green from PrePass... As I go pass I see 2 lanes of trucks backed up clear onto the interstate... 2 down.

Surely Inkom, ID will red light me they ALWAYS red light me... Don't remember the time, but I hadn't stoped since Salt Lake City so shortly after Ogden... Some construction just before port, though it might be closed, but no such luck. I see a bunch of flashing yellow lights in port entrance as the 2 trucks in front of me enter the port, I'm already downshifting in preparation of be pulled in... Watching the signs and they say " Truck OK to Bypass"... What!!! I didn't think that sign could even say that!... I almost for got to get back on the throttle cause I was so shocked!... 3 down and I'm home free to the home terminal.

I still can't believe that I didn't get pulled in at least once.

Now I'm home for a week with the wife for our Anniversary. One day of Blitz a year is enough for me.

Finally found out today why I haven't been getting bypasses through Drivewyze. Apparently they activated the system on my elog, but no one at the office ever put my profile on the master list to actually get them...

Hopefully I get a bunch of green lights this week.

I had to look at the calendar to see what the date was today. I don't care much for calenders or clocks....

 

I kinda run around with out much sense of day or time. I figure just before daylight is work time a little after dark is quittin time. Eat when your belly says it's time
