You've always been able to do that...within reason. Can't bounce half way across the country, but within an hour or so and no dispatch for another load? Always PC'd home if I didn't have the hours to show it on #3.

 

Guys there was never a miles limit on pc, it was about reasonable use of pc, but it has to be a company policy plus the states have to agree to it, which is the catch.

Also it has not passed the courts test in any lawsuit, an laden vehicle used for commercial purposes has legal definitions at the state level outside the fmcsa regs that trump the fmcsa.

What they did was screw it up even more and there has to be a purpose of more definitive regs in the near future.

 

We have a household division. We've been dropping trailers in subdivisions at the 13 hour mark.
