Not hardly, he's the guy doing the low slow and cool through the lot. I've never seen a good hauling ### through the lot much less a 300 some incher.

He doesn't go to Chicago or anyplace that was never designed for trucks to park. Where you usually go with a bullrack there's plenty of room to park and maneuver.

My buddy built a Pete from a Glider kit and it had a 320" wb and a double bunk. Let me take it for a spin when he came up this way to visit. Left the trailer in the parking lot but when looking back in the mirrors those mud flaps were way back there.

This is pretty much the way this site is. Just steering wheel holders and non truck enthusiasts. Oh and also jealous hater company drivers who drive plastic throw away trucks. Welcome to the new age of truck drivers. Things changed by the time the late 90’s rolled around

All my trucks in my fleet have long wheelbases. The reason for me doing this is for the ride, not the smell. It makes the ride smoother, lets us add if we chose a headache rack, or other box for chains, etc. I have a show truck that has a 360" wheel base, but has a 160" sleeper on her. Many times it is just preference by the O/O to stretch the wheel base for whatever reason. The reason those whom pull reefer trailers with trucks that have long wheel bases is to separate the reefer noise from being 3 feet from the back of the cab.

Let’s take stock of the picture, shall we? It’s a man with a hood popped open and it looks like he might have added oil. How many people talking bad about him “compensating, looks dumb, what the point” even pop their hoods?? Probably the same amount of people that could go pick up sales in an old barn in the middle of the night. Got the guts to get in the top deck with a 2200 lb Charlois bull?

It’s his money, he can spend it how he wants, and it looks better than every one of the fleet plastic crap on the roads today Monday through Saturday and twice on Sunday. Why not take pride in your equipment? I guess it’s easier to be lazy seat warmers with the “I just drive” attitude these days.
