Why is this tractor so long?

It's not the wheelbase that stands out to me it's the color.

I would not want anything painted that color, but it makes the truck unique.

He obviously takes pride in his ride and you can"t mistake that one for a fleet truck.

But on the other hand,
I have never ever seen a bull hauler wearing little boys pants and sneakers!
Willing to bet that pic was taken at the Marianna Fl TA. I’ve seen that rig on I 10 before.

 

So, back to the original question... That's really just a mod and doesn't have a "purpose"? Seems like a legit question.. "I wonder why that truck is so long?"

And believe me, I've known a few men who were definitely compensating... Not every guy with a great car or truck is, but there are enough to make ya think....

 

It does ride nicer that way and it could have had a pusher on it at some point. I know a guy that would pull his pusher off if he was making a trip east so he didnt have that extra dead weight riding around and his frame is about that long.

 

Other than flatbed work a long truck is pretty much just for looks. My friend TJ has a stretched out Pete and on his frame rails behind the fuel tanks it says “Because it looks cool, stupid”.
