Why is this tractor so long?

Haha you sound like my dad when I give him a little grief about his fld. He says at least his truck earns what it's worth in a week, he doesn't appreciate it when I tell him it's only worth about 5k.

I remember as a kid in the 1960's growing up in still rural southern California, seeing trucks with drom decks and, stretched frames. I always thought they were the coolest trucks on the road. There was several companies that even ran old Freightliner COE's with 300"+ WB. The "look" didn't come from nowhere. I have extened family that have been Sunkist growers for generations, they had day cab 359's with 250" WB hauling oranges.

Personally I don't mind the areo trucks, hell my 387 IS an aero but, IMHO not bar of soap weird looking. The classic profile of a Large Car is something you either get or wonder why? I am a hot rodder and would love to find an old needle nose Pete and do a full restomod on, that would be MY interpretation of "the perfect truck" That green bull hauler just reeks cool.

Loads like that I wish I had more wheelbase.
