So I just started pulling freight off a loadboard. The board I've been using is truckstop. I have been looking at brokers credit ratings and DTP on there but I want to know how accurate this is and any other way I can check this. All info is welcomed.
Thank you

Accuracy is so so. You'll find the data is based off of the factoring company they are in bed with.
You can run a credit check on potential brokers using services out there. The company I use for factoring offers free credit checks for me and i can run those anytime through their website.
Just Google credit check companies and find one for meets your needs and price.villageidiot Thanks this. -
I'm not factoring so I'm assuming they are not good by to let me do that for free....? Is there any other suggestions or will a factoring company let me do this for free?

Like I said, there are services out there that will let you run a credit check, but you'll have to pay for each one you run. I was using a factoring company as an example. One of the truck management software's I've used before had credit checking built in. That was $16 a check. Just use Google and search for credit check companies.
Or you can go old school, research the company on your own, figure out how long they've been in business, who they have their bond with, call the bond and ask if there are any outstanding claimsvillageidiot Thanks this. -
Ok thank you very much for the ideas. I've always dealt with direct customers in a different aspect of trucking and just hooked to a stepdeck and I'm running spot market and just want to make sure I do my research.
