I don't know how much the rigs are working south of here, my step son was working for Halliburton & just got laid off. Most of the rigs in Northern Alberta & Northern BC are working, but I think they are not drilling anything new...not with oil at $35/barrel...funny how they used to drill like mad when oil was at $10/barrel a few years ago...but suddenly can't make money at $35...go figure! -
With all the town names you mentioned its all relatively far south compared to Wildcats stomping ground! -

Wildcat, I have been driving in Minnesota for almost 6yrs. I read that you have a custom winterfront for your truck, what else do you drivers do to your trucks up there to make them handle the cold weather better. Also with all the new crappy emissions regs down here, do your trucks have the same junk such as egr's and dpf's? How do they handle the cold? Do you run a CAT or cummins in your pete? Thanks and have fun up there!

I have extra insulation literally EVERYWHERE in my truck...in the cab, sleeper, the floor, even in the jockey boxes!
Even tho my truck is a 2007, I was lucky & got a 2006 engine...it was built in Oct of 2006...But the guys I know that have new truck +2007 engines are crap...you couldn't GIVE me one of those...yeah they have all that new crap on them too...but they give nothing but trouble...just like you guys & in the far north where they run all the time...by the way...we don't idle at 1000 rpm up there...it's 1400+ most of the time...
I have a CAT in my truck...550 twin turbo -
Kat, are you driving on the ice this year?
