    Hello All,
Thinking about getting my CDL. I have read most of the blogs on here. I have talked with Driver Solutions and to be honest after reading all the blogs about different companies and such I am scared to death. I really would like to get into the trucking field. So many bad reports about USA Truck , PAM , Star, Decker didn't sound too good. I think the C1 School would have been ok but not the companies they work with. I think I have narrowed my choice down to Roehl. I have been in contact with them also and I like the idea of them possibly being a little more on the safety side. Im just looking to be trained properly and correctly. Just wondering if there are any current drivers with Roehl that have been with the company more than a year that could give some insight to how the company is really doing. Are your miles decent, treated half fair, home, stuff like that.
    Thanks in advance

Rock, being a newbie myself I in no position to offer you advice. But, you came to the right place. Theres a couple guys that work for Roehl on here and tons of what I call "Saltie drivers" that truly want to help us new guys. Read the posts and ask questions. Theres lots of compinies that will us (Newbies). But, we have to pay our dues. We'll work cheap (not by choice) and hard. As for myself, I have no expectations, I plan to work hard, drive safe and per DOT compliance. Down the road I hope to gain respect and make better money.

The best advice I can give you is that it is all about attitude. I have been with Roehl for 15 months and have seen many drivers come and go. I have also seen many drivers do nothing but complain. Your attitude will decide if you make it of not.The job is easy but it takes a certain type of person to be able to do it. Good luck
