'Must be 23 years of age and have one year (12 months) over the road, 48 state tractor-trailer driving experience, and possess a valid Class A CDL.'

Firstly, that post was directed at JCT's poster, not Schneider. And if you actually read my previous posts you would see how ridiculous you sound with that companies owing me something bs.

I do however expect a company to reflect a postive outlook on themselves. When I call a recruiter they shouldn't be sitting on the phone line barely auidble and speaking in a tone that seems like I either just wokr them up or a family member died recently. And during that convo the recruiter did not ask our expierence or anything about us, I was asking about them and they only information given was an answer to my question withou any additional information offered. Hell I got better answers out of CR England.

As you can see above, JCT's min requirements. Guess what, I've been driving with Werner since June 07. Guess that means I meet them then hmm??

Lease purchase is the way we have to go, but I will certainly be choosey in what I do wind up paying for. I fail to see how I am expecting a company to owe me something because I want to PICK the thing I am going to be paying hundreds a week for. Honestly I just think you are riled because I don't like Schneider and you do. That's fine, I used to get that way over people dissing Werner, but you can't please everyone, and in Schneiders case they didn't just piss me off, they broke the Federal law.

As stated before, buying outright is not going to happen.

No ma'am. And, if I mistook your post being aimed someone else, I apologize. As for my being riled about whether you do or don't like SNI? Nothing could be further from the truth. I know several folks for whom SNI is not a good fit. It matters not to me whether you do, or don't, like SNI's programs. As many programs out there as there are from which to choose, it would be foolish for anyone not to make the choice that best suits them. Good luck in your endevours.

There are no ''good'' lease's out there. It's all a ''scam'' geared to make the company the ''big money''.

Buy a 5,000 older truck and start making money...

And what company will take a 10 year old truck cause I've thought about that but every single company I've seen won't, except some of the expediting ones. I have looked at a 2001 Peterbilt that I fell in love with, and a 96 that I liked and could afford but was told few companies would sign one on.

Regardless of if I buy the truck myself, or lease on with a truck gotten through the company I'd be pretty much doing the same O/O package, so if the lease payments are affordable, why exactly would leasing, aside from being stuck with that company for the lease term, be such a terrible thing?

    Check out LandStar Ranger.
They have no age limitations on leased on trucks... All you have to do to lease on there is pass a DOT inspection at a LandStar facility

The reason they do not want you to get a ''payed for'' older truck is very simple...

They want you to ''keep runnin'' and keep you ''hungry''.

They ''claim'' its an issue with ''breakdowns'' and ''dependability'',but thats the ''big lie''.

If that was the ''reality'' ,LANDSTAR WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS...But landstar is 3rd biggest outfit in the nation.

As soon as someone tells me there is a year criteria for running for them,I WALK AWAY..

IMO this is just another way to ''control drivers''

At landstar ''we'' run our business the way ''we'' want to.They preach that at landstar to us...They say:

IT'S YOUR BUSINESS,RUN IT THE WAY YOU WANT.....WHAT A FEELING.

EVEN THOUGH WE ARE HAVING TERRIBLE TIMES RIGHT NOW TRYING TO GET GOOD PAYING LOADS...IT SUCKS.LOL,LOL

    NO pressure trucking...why?

because it's your business, run it the way you wanna run it..

Hmm... this may change everything, but I had checked Landstar's site and I was pretty sure I had seen a min requirement I'll have to check again when I am off.
