5 days is a long time in trucking. I would wait to see if he gets home on the 13th first. If he does then his dispatcher did her job.
Refusing to bring home, answers?

Nevermind, thanks for trying but you don't understand the situation. It's not a normal respectable person dispatching.

I agree with the other guys if your worried about pay quit now. -
It is personal. That is why she is doing it. She suspects he is going to quit. She is very very immature. She will not take a phone call or be asked a question by anyone. She isn't getting push back. He has never pushed back. She stated the statement and left it at that. You would only know the dynamics if you were living it.

He should E-Mail the "Load Planner" with Copy to Dispatch Manager. (No phone calls) There is No record of the conversation that way. ( Inquire about a Load going Home). If that does not work and the situation continues then write a certified Letter to the President of the Company.
Happy Trails..!!
Of course....this action has Merit ...if it is a continued situation.Last edited: Jun 8, 2018

Being at a small 5-8 truck operation that probably relies 100% on broker loads, and living in Phoenix? I can tell you this is going to be an ongoing problem. These small places go where it's convenient to go and the fact they run out east tells me this is probably where they prefer to operate and are comfortable operating.
Good luck, but you're probably going to need to find a "stronger carrier" who can better support you in the Phoenix area and who places a high priority on honoring reasonable home time requests.Zeviander, Oldironfan, windsmith and 1 other person Thank this.
