I work here. The managers I have talked to say they have not broke even yet...may change as the site gets friendlier. I watched one the other morning...interesting to note, most ere businesses picking up supplys. I know a lady who has started a business picking up stuff at the Walmart express and delivering it to the homes...wondered where Walmart has started that service and how it is doing...she is doing well:)

I was never a fan of Amazon either. Their return policy can get you banned from their site and express delivery costs extra..wal mart has free 2 day delivery.

Amazon has a big problem with counterfeit products , I recently watched a huge report on it , can't remember who it was that did the story though.

That's if you buy from a 3d party that sells on Amazon.. Walmart has 3rd party's that sell on their site. And you don't get your employee discount from them

The problem is Walmart shouldn't be trying to compete with Amazon because Amazon is a different business. Its like banks trying to compete with Google.
Amazon is online only, they produce their tv shows, and they produce their own products (echo)
I think because they won over all the other brick and morter stores they are trying to compete with companies outside their realm.

    Incorrect.

Video: Inside the first Amazon Go store

Walmart has to change how they sell. They have to adapt to however the consumer wants to buy their stuff.

The rise of the supercenter was all about convenience. You could buy everything you need for the fourth of July in one trio. Grill, beer, ice, new swimsuit, steaks, plasticware, a new kayak.

Now folks want stuff point and click. From groceries, to clothes. Walmart has to catch up, or they will go the way of Kmart.

No , i just never got caught up in the new techie era
I actually like to ride a motorcycle than
    Than play on the computer

I do think theres a lot of improvement that can be made at the stores to get people in to shop
1st & foremost improving the chek out times at the cash register

I agree. Fixing the “in store experience “ would certainly help.
