Just curios if there is a job with team food service driver. I would imagine with two people unloading and driving it would be alot easier and could make alot of money. Also could you pick your team driver if you have a wife or a friend with a cdl

McLane runs teams, although they usually don't hire established teams. The just stick two drivers together, you may not have the same partner each trip out. Also, you can't legally have both drivers unloading since one is supposed to be in the bunk resting and unloading interrupts their 10 consecutive hour break. They do it, but it is not legal.

Food service is probably the most exhausting trucking job there is. Probably not a good choice for husband/wife team.

So they don't have teams?

What would be a better choice? We will live on the road for a year or two what would be the best then?

Is she going to get a cdl and drive also?

She's thinking about it if not I have a friend who's almost done with his.

I have seen Sygma at some of the hotels I stay at. I guess some of their routes run both drivers clocks and go to the motel by 14. This concept would be better than running a true team for food service, in my opinion. I have heard McLane pays well and I have seen some of their teams at the hotel also. I have heard some of their teams run like a true team, but I normally see both drivers unloading instead of one unloading while the other sleeps.

Thank you. I will take a look at them.I was told to check fedEx/ups but they state that you need at least a year as well

I remember you saying you like night driving. If that's the case, go with a coast to coast reefer outfit. The reason I did real well pulling reefers is because I prefer night driving and long coast to coast runs. Which state do you live in?
