I'm new to the forum. I have always wondered why there aren't any exotic shift knobs for the Eaton style shifters. I'm interested in making some different designs in polyurethane, but need to get some feedback on most popular transmission to start with. I have a 9/10 spd base molded and plan to do an eagles head and a jet fighter stick with it. What would you guys like to see for new shift knob designs?

A Hurst 'T' would be cool! It'd be easy enough to put an old-school range shift on the stick, but getting a splitter rigged for the 13/18's might be a chore.

I have to admit I kinda miss the old style chrome shift knobs. The ones about 4" across with the shift pattern engraved on it with three position thumb tab. Would look silly as heck in my slope nose IH but in a long hood would be cool as can be.

I have seen a few nice wooden shifters for 10's and 13-18's. Can't remember where though.

Berubies pretty sure I spelled it right, google it you can get on their web site they have everything!!! They are in Bow N.H.
Baack Thanks this. -
Wow! Yep, you're right, they've got everything. Catalog's on the way here! I've seen all of the wood ones (nice). I like some if the multi-color flamed ones too. I was looking for ideas on different designs you guys would like to see that you haven't seen anywhere else. The more wild and exotic it is the better. We'll see how comfortable this one is when it's done, might end up all show, no go.

How about a dragon head?
-
Yeah! I could do a dragon wrapped all the way down the lower shaft cover. Or maybe a Cobra/rattlesnake?

I'm a fan of the glitter ball shift knob. Inlay a shift pattern in it and that would be cool.

That dragon wrapped all the way down the lower shaft cover would be cool.
No snakes for this household.
