yes its relativity easy too install an invertor but you need too check with your company first. If they allow them most will want a dealership too install them that way the dealership is reponsible for faults.

Our company allows them but they must be 1500w or less and they have to install them. They used to let us do it but they had a driver put one in and it burned his truck to the ground. Now they won't even let us put in our CB's. I wish they would just buy us trucks with APU's and built in inverters.

Yeah I should mention to use a grommet when threading the wiring through the cab...

That's what I use, a 200 watt circuit breaker. I would have used higher wattage but that's what the company requires. For cables I got the 12 foot battery-jump cables from Walmart. My shop installed it.
